Your fear is not real“Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Do not misunderstand me, danger is very real, but fear is a choice. We are all telling ourselves a story and that day mine changed.” I heard this while watching the movie After Earth, starring Will Smith.
Fear exposed
Romans 12:2 reads, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.” The world encourages us to be in control of everything, so when things feel like they are out of our control we become paralyzed with fear. On the other hand, God’s Word teaches us to cast our cares on Him and to hurl our sinful desires back to the pit of hell. 2 Corinthians 10:5 commands us to cast “down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” Therefore, whenever a negative thought comes into our minds, we have to reject that idea and replace it with the Word of God. For instance, we might think, “I can’t do this or that.” Immediately, you should say aloud, “I reject that thought because the Bible says I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”Those doubtful thoughts are actually linked to fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us that God did not give us a spirit of fear but a spirit of love, power, and a sound mind. The next time you find yourself pondering, “What if this bad thing happens? What if that bad thing happens?” just proclaim, “This fear is not even real! God’s Holy Spirit is living in me, so I will not fear.” The enemy uses worrying to keep us trapped in our minds. So let’s escape his trap by praying and singing the Word of God aloud. This will deliver us from any imaginary realm and cause us to function effectively in the present. Here are some Scriptures about fear
