Sometimes you have to force yourself to go to church, praise God, shut your mouth, and to be humble. For instance, you will wake up on a Sunday morning and your kids will spill juice on your church clothes, the car will act up, the gas will be low and you won’t have money for gas, you will be irate as a rattle snake (screaming at everybody), and you will feel like God has rejected you. You will think mountains are collapsing on your head and that you are about to lose your mind.
Well, the devil is a liar! Those oppositions are either a natural part of life or they are demonic attacks. Simply ask the Lord to forgive you and press on. You are not an evil person and please understand that God is not rejecting you. He loves you and is concerned about you always. Remember, you are not going to the Father in your own strength or righteousness. You are entering His presence by the Blood of Jesus. It is never about you. Your walk with God is based on what Jesus Christ did for you. So when those attacks come against you and you fall short, like we all fall short, pick yourself up and keep stepping (Romans 2:23). Nobody in your church is better than you. Nobody on your job is superior to you. Your neighbors are not better than you. No one is better than you. They have problems just like you. The only difference is you keep it real while other people wear that “religious” or “phony” mask. They pretend like everything is always perfect in their little world. And perhaps that is their reality since demons don’t mess with people who are already under the control of demons. So since you are under attack, you should rejoice because you are powerful and the enemy knows that. Keep doing what you are doing for God. Those setbacks are there to distract you because you are a threat to the kingdom of darkness. Hallelujah! Previous article: Prayer and praise will remove your shackles The Gospel: What?
