YAHWEH-M'KADDESH  (The Lord Who Sanctifies, Makes Holy)

YAHWEH-M'KADDESH means "The Lord Who Sanctifies, Makes Holy."

Are Christians still preaching holiness because the Bible is very clear that we will only see the Lord if we are holy.

What does holy mean?

When people are holy, they are dedicated or consecrated to God (set apart for worship unto Him).

In Leviticus 20:8, God says He is the only one who can cleanse His people and make them holy. Also, Ezekiel 37:28 tells us that the Lord sanctifies Israel.

Then in Hebrews 12:14, the writer states that without holiness no man will see the Lord.

Okay, now we know what the word holy means and who is able to make us holy, right? But do you know the things that taint a holy life?

Behaviors that makes us unholy (Ephesians 5 and Galatians 5)
  • Greed
  • Sexual immorality
  • Vulgarity
  • Foolish talk (including coarse joking)
  • Idolatry
  • Lying
  • Stealing, etc.
Jesus is coming back for a radiant church without spot or wrinkles, so let us wash ourselves with the Word of God (Ephesians 5). Let us allow YAHWEH-M'KADDESH to make us holy.

Prayer: Father, forgive us for participating in activities that made us displeasing in Your sight. Cleanse us YAHWEH-M'KADDESH by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Renew our minds and help us to live consecrated lives, not following the standard of this world. Amen.
