 After reading Daniel 10, here are my thoughts. You see, if that one angel was attacked and held back many days from delivering an answered prayer to Daniel, we can infer that all of our angels are being resisted as well!
Thousands of angels are fighting right now. Why? Because when we humble ourselves in the natural, but boldly go before God in prayer, He hears and answers our prayers! Our heavenly Father sends angels to deliver those answered prayers. The Bible says Daniel fasted and prayed, yet his blessing (answered prayer) was held up for weeks. Therefore, we can assume that if we don't fast and pray the answers to our prayers will be held up even longer! We may never see those answers because God won't move until we activate our faith! The angel told Daniel he was on his way to Daniel when he fasted and prayed. So does that mean that our angels don't immediately go out on assignments for us unless we fast and pray? Does that mean God do not release angels to bring our blessings until we position ourselves spiritually through praying, fasting, worshiping, and such? We can learn a lot from this passage. As soon as we cry out to God for help, we see that the enemy starts to fight our angels. The hierarchy of demons (principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places) are positioned below God's realm, so the angels apparently have to get by these monsters. Beloved, this is great news! God has heard your prayers and He has sent your angels to you, but your angels have to fight the principalities before reaching you. Therefore, God isn't upset with you, ignoring you, or has said no to helping you. Beloved, God is simply showing you that Ephesians 6 is real. So, put on the whole armor of God, for there's a constant wrestling taking place in the spiritual realm, which means we cannot afford to ever be weary. We must fight the good fight of faith daily because we have already won this battle through the Blood of Jesus Christ. BIBLE VERSE Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. Now I am here to explain what will happen to your people in the future, for this vision concerns a time yet to come.” (Daniel 10:12-14 NLT ) |
