Isaiah 54:15 tells us that people will gather together to fight against us. However, the Lord says He will not be the one sending them after you. These enemies are actually coming after you in the name of the devil.
The Message version of that same verse sounds like this, “If anyone attacks you, don’t for a moment suppose that I sent them, and if any should attack, nothing will come of it.” The NKJV of verse 15 reads, “Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.” You see that? People will come and try to attack you, and this will most likely hurt you because they will be individuals you have trusted. Therefore, guard yourself. Protect your heart, for their lies will stir you up. When they slander your name, you will be terrified. Also, when they attack you “in the name of God”, you will feel like losing all control, but be still and know that He is God (46:10). In addition, remember that your adversaries “will fall for your sake.” The Bible even reminds us that “No weapon formed against [us] shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against [us] in judgment [we] shall condemn” (verse 17). Finally, 2 Chronicles 20:15 (NKJV) reads, “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” Then verse 17 says, “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you…” Rejoice saints because you do not have to stay up all day and night trying to fight all your problems. All you have to do is go into “spiritual mode.” Start praying, worshiping God, reading your Bible, dancing, twirling a praise flag, singing to God, speaking in your heavenly language, attending church, among other things. Now rejoice because you know the truth about being attacked and the truth shall set you free. |
