Stop offering diseased sacrifices to God

A few days ago I told you that God wants you to sacrifice your Issac to Him. He desires the people and things you love the most.

He does this to evaluate our level of dedication and love for Him. God is a jealous God.

If you were the creator of everything and your creation dishonored you, wouldn't that disturb you? Wouldn't you be jealous? God wants the best from all of us because He is King!

In Malachi 1:8, God spoke through the prophet saying, "When you offer blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice lame or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?”

Sometimes we start out being committed to the Father but then we start to compromise. We become lukewarm and begin pleasing ourselves instead of fulfilling our vows to God.

We know we should be praying more, reading the Word consistently, serving more, etc., but we choose to hold on to our Isaacs and offer up our Ishmaels to Jehovah instead.

Malachi 1:14 states, “Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king...and my name is to be feared among the nations (‭Malachi‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ NIV).

~Prayer~

Lord, forgive me for offering blemished sacrifices to You. Here is my Isaac. I surrender all to You in the name of Jesus.
