Today is spiritual trash removal day

We have no problem putting out our trash each week, right? No one wants to keep garbage in his or her house because the end result is foul odor and maggots.

Our cities provide this sanitation service to the people in order to maintain clean communities. Likewise, God in His Word tells us to lay aside every weight (every trash) in our lives so we can be holy. .

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us... " (Hebrews 12:1).

We cannot succeed on our journey with God with piles of junk hanging off of us or seeping from our hearts.
