Try it again and this time you'll win

Picture
Let down your net again. You have tried to run that business, you have tried to fix your marriage, you have tried endlessly to help your rebellious child, you have attempted to improve your finances, you have been searching for a better job, you have been trying to find a cure for your ailment, you been praying consistently about that same situation, among other things.

You have worked yourself, it seemed, into exhaustion, and now you are feeling overwhelmed and perhaps discouraged.  Apostle Peter had a similar experience.

He spent all night fishing and didn't catch anything. Then Jesus challenged him to put down his net into the deep water “for a catch.”

5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets” (Luke 5:5).

Did you see that? Even though Peter was frustrated, when Jesus told him to try again, Peter simply obeyed, and the result was amazing!

Verses 6-7 state,  “When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.”

Yes you've been working hard but haven't seen any results, but don't give up. Pray again. Fast again. Ask the Holy Spirit for divine wisdom and understanding so you can see lasting, fruitful results.

Whatever you do, don't let your failures cause you to give up. Just believe God will use your failures to pave the way to your blessings.

Let down your net again. This time you will catch countless blessings.
