 “You don’t have to do a lot of great things to be great. Can you breathe? The fact that you are alive and breathing makes you great.” That was something I shared with several children about two months ago.
I couldn't tell them that because they are created in God’s image greatness is all over them. No, that is not allowed, but in my heart and mind, I said just that. As I spoke to them, I was really saying that the great God breathed divinity (holiness) into them; therefore, that made them fabulous. After listening to me with wide eyes, many of these disenfranchised children believed me. I simply wanted to deposit that seed of truth in them because I know circumstances in life will cause them to feel insignificant, and they will need to find strength in the truth that is within them. Like Jesus said, you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. So now I say to you, the reader, God created you fearfully and wonderfully.
