Sketch of a Girl

Sketch of a Girl

She walks the cold grounds of the school’s hallway,
Whispering to her stomach,
You won’t eat today.
She sits in class swearing her frame isn’t right.
I know what I must do tonight.

She is a frail shell,
But no one can tell.
No one knows of her hell.
She sits in math class
Wishing the day will quickly pass.

She stares into the bathroom mirror twice.
No more eating white rice.
She swears her face isn’t right.
I know what I must do tonight.

She reads magazines and watches TV.
Who would wanna look like me?
She is a sketched shell,
But no one can tell.
No one knows of her hell.
This is my battle, and this how I fight.
I know what I must do tonight.
