Restoration: 20 promises from God

If you want to see an example of despair, read Joel 1. It's depressing to read that chapter, but it gets better in chapter 2.


"Despair, all you farmers! Wail, all you vine growers! Weep, because the wheat and barley— all the crops of the field—are ruined. The grapevines have dried up, and the fig trees have withered. The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees— all the fruit trees—have dried up. And the people’s joy has dried up with them. (Joel 1:11-12 NLT)


Then God tells the people to FAST (give up food) and to consecrate themselves (give up things that hindered their relationship with God).


After we've fallen short or after the enemy attacks us,  and we REPENT (Joel 2:12-reject sinful thoughts and ways and surrender to God), here is what will happen.  


20 PROMISED OF GOD


1. God will give you NEW grain (Joel 2).
2. God will give you NEW WINE and OLIVE OIL ( fresh pouring of the Holy Spirit)...and it will be enough to satisfy your needs (verse 19).
3. You will no longer be an object of mockery among the surrounding nations. 
4. God will drive away the armies from the north, south, east, and west (your enemies), sending them into the parched wastelands.
5.  Your wilderness pastures will become green. 
6. The trees will be filled with fruit; fig trees and grapevines will be loaded down once more. 
7. Then you'll rejoice because He will send rain because of his faithfulness!
8. The autumn rains will come, as well as the rains of spring. 
9. THE LORD WILL GIVE YOU  BACK WHAT YOU LOST TO THE SWARMING LOCUSTS, THE HOPPING LOCUSTS, THE STRIPPING LOCUSTS, and the CUTTING LOCUSTS.
10. You will have ALL the FOOD YOU WANT, and you will PRAISE the Lord your God, WHO DOES THESE MIRACLES FOR YOU. 
11. NEVER again will YOU be DISGRACED. 
12. Then you will know that GOD is among His people Israel...and there is no other. 
13. Never again will His people be disgraced.

14. Then after God finish BLESSING YOU,  He will pour out His Spirit on you...Fresh wine and oil for you NOW! Hallelujah! The best wine is held on a shelf for an extensive amount of time and olive oil is made through the stomping process. You must crush grapes and olives to get the reward of wine and olive oil, right? Likewise, OUR STRUGGLES ARE FOR OUR GOOD! YES,  LORD! THE HOLY GHOST MUST TRY YOU BY FIRE (STOMPING,  REJECTION, LACK, PAIN, ETC. ) SO YOUR FAITH CAN BE LIKE GOLD!
15. Our sons and daughters will prophesy. 
16. Our old men will dream dreams, and our young men will see visions. 
17. God will even pour out His Spirit even on servants—men and women alike.
18. And He will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth. 
19. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
20. You will escape those sufferings and SURVIVE IN HIM!
