Read this before you quitEver worked so hard to achieve something you desired, only to be faced with the threat of failure?
How about this? Have you ever fought against opposition until you were exhausted, feeling like you were 10 seconds away from collapsing? Let me say this. If you haven’t felt that way, chances are you will really soon. However, don’t panic. Habakkuk 3:17-19 speaks of such moments. The passage states, Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. When you are opposed on every level until you feel overwhelmed and want to wallow in disbelief, command yourself to rejoice in the Lord. Force yourself to be joyful in God because he will turn your mourning into dancing. He will offer you strength when you are feeling incredibly weak from your struggles. God will strengthen your feet and cause you to trample on your enemies and run into your destiny, and you will reach the height of your blessings! Furthermore, when your harsh circumstances entice you to quit, remember Luke 5. Peter worked all night fishing but caught nothing. That's right, he worked all night and did not see the fruit of his labor. Can you relate to this? Nevertheless, Jesus told him to “Launch out into the deep and let down” his nets again. And because Peter obeyed, he caught a great number of fish till his net started breaking. Don’t quit. Keep pressing. Your blessing is closer than you think. |
