Employers seek the best and the brightest to work for their companies, right? You see it all the time. Just look at the job descriptions online and you will discover this truth.
The problem is, many people are not qualified for the higher paying jobs, so they have to settle for less.
Jesus is calling you
Well, God is not like those employers. He is calling everyone. The Bible says many are called but few are chosen (Matthew 22:14).
Yes, the mighty God is calling you! And He is not simply drawing the best and the brightest. No, He welcomes all who will come to Him and will turn those individuals into the best and the brightest.
Are you feeling weary and burdened by life?
In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
People who are weary feel overworked, beat, drained, exhausted, fatigued, overtaxed, heavy, and weak. But Jesus wants to give us rest today.
The word burdened is similar to weary. When people are burdened, they are oppressed, taxed, weighted down, tormented, overloaded, and saddened.
Come to Jesus, so He can give you real rest for your soul. Stop operating like the world, and submit yourself to the plans of your Savior.
Praise Him until His presence fills your heart and fills you with joy. Then that joy will release strength into your life.
You might feel like a failure, but that is a lie. You might feel depressed, but you can be free today. You might feel unloved, but divine Love is waiting for you.
Come to Jesus, you who feel oppressed by life, and the gentle Savior will give you rest, calmness, respite, relief, liberty, comfort, and help.
