![]() They said to me, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire” (Nehemiah 1:3). Some of us have faced brokenness, and our gates have been burned with fire. However, the Holy Spirit is asking us to examine our lives to see where we have great trouble and disgrace. We have to truly analyze why we are in the destructive state at this point in our live. Were we attacked because we were fighting the good fight of faith, or did we make poor decisions (sinful or not) that have devastated us? Let us take a moment to repent, and listen to the instructions of the Holy Spirit because He is getting ready to show us "how" to reexamine our lives and tell us how He wants us to rebuild. This is essential because if our walls and gates are ruined, we are basically unprotected. It is time to rebuild our walls and gates. Let us rebuild our minds, health, families, relationships with God, marriages, parenting skills, finances, countries, careers, emotions, etc. Previous post Diamonds and Christians Follow me on Periscope (sfacey15) I am teaching from the Book of Nehemiah on Periscope today.
