It is time to cross over into your new level of blessings

Picture
Right now you are at a crossroad. You are standing in front of the “Jordan River” and your problems are behind you. You feel like there is nowhere to turn.

Your eyes are fixed on the river and those massive amount of problems.

Here is a Word for you.

In 2 Kings 2, the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind. Then Elijah the prophet kept trying to go here and there without Elisha, but Elisha would not leave his side.

After realizing Elisha was not going to leave him, Elijah asked, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” (verse 9)

“Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.

“You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not.” (verse 10)

Eventually, Elijah went up to heaven in the whirlwind, and Elisha cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” (verse 12)

Elisha did not see Elijah again, so he tore his garment apparently in grief.

In verse 13, Elisha picked up his leader’s cloak and stood on the bank of the Jordan.

Next, he struck the water with Elijah’s cloak and asked, “Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?”

Can you relate?

Have you ever been at that place, that place where you are all by yourself? That place where those who were once with you are no longer around? That place where the order of your life has been rearranged, and you feel scared.

Elisha was at that place. And in his grief, he cried out to God. And guess what? God responded by causing the Jordan River to divide after Elisha struck it. Then He crossed over.

Then in verse 15, the company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said, “The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.”

The Lord is causing numerous changes in your life. Things are different now and you feel alone. But don’t become anxious. You are at a place where God wants you to cry out to Him and to operate in faith.

Step out by faith

By faith, Elisha hit the water and it parted. Likewise, by faith, you will have to hit the Jordan River in your life and cross over into what God is calling you to fulfill. People are watching to see how you will response at the Jordan River (at that place of uncertainty). Now step out on faith and show them that Jehovah is the only true God who works miracles.
