![]() Sometimes we simply become faint. That is just part of life. God knows this, so He lets us know in Jeremiah 31:25 that He “will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” Also, Proverbs 11:25 reminds us that “A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.” The word weary means to become physically and mentally exhausted or fatigued by hard work. People who are weary become impatient and dissatisfied (Galatians 6:9, Isaiah 40:29-31). The word prosper means to grow strong and healthy, to flourish physically, to thrive, to bloom, to blossom, to progress, and to be successful. Also, the word refresh means to give new strength or energy, to reinvigorate, to revitalize, to revive, to restore, to fortify, to enliven, to stimulate, to freshen, and to energize. The Lord is releasing strength and restoration to His hardworking people (those who have been serving others endlessly). If you have been laboring for the Lord but have become discouraged, overwhelmed, frustrated, angry, impatient, and weak, open up your mouth and speak the Word.
