I Promise to Love HerI Promise to Love Her
His truth trips her soul When her soul tries To escape what it’s told And seeks to hide beneath denial, So it won’t have to behold Righteousness and honesty That’ll cleanse her soul. He sees her heart leaking Blood, leaving A trail of pain and fear Concealing The thorns of anxiety, She prays she won’t break for believing. He knows her strength and worth But knows too the hurt He can inflict on her soul Upon the earth, Yet he never reveals to his Strong queen How he chooses to embrace rather Than bury her in dirt. So he watches her proceed into his heart with fear. He loves her. He follows and wipe up blood drops everywhere Still he loves her. She lashes out in doubt But he loves her, Knowing what her fears are about. Covering her selfishness and shame But never wanting others to blame Her for being an imperfect soul Because he loves her. And even though truth trips her soul As she tries to run Away and not behold All that truth wants to unfold, He loves her. She’s his gift from heaven above her, So he promises forever to love her. His love’s like a dove above her. “Jesus,” He whispers, “I promise, forever, to love her.” Excerpt from my book: Check this out: Teenage-Jah: Part one Destiny Diadem Press https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00U1WUEGW/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdo_t1_XcghCbMSA7J1W |
