HESED means God's everlasting love

Picture
Yesterday, we learned that EMUNAH means action faith.

Today's Hebrew word is HESED (HEH-sed). This means everlasting love that is solid as a rock (action love).

Isaiah 54:10, God explains through the prophet that “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love (hesed) for you will not be shaken."

A hesed type of love is persistent, enduring, forgiving, always offering grace, and is based on 1 Cor. 13.

Lamentations 3:31-32 says, “No one is cast off by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love (hesed)."

Also, in Isaiah 54:8, our Heavenly Father declares,
In an outburst of anger
I hid My face from you for a moment;
But with everlasting loving kindness (hesed) I will have compassion on you,”
Says the LORD your Redeemer.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I love You. I believe You exist and that You bless Your children who diligently seek You. I seek Your face today. Show me Your hesed kind of love today. Wrap Your loving arms around me. Fill me up with love until it overflows through me, until I'm healed, and until I'm bursting with unspeakable joy in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
