God’s thoughts are not our thoughtsYou will not be able to have divine understanding without the Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV) tells us that God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are His ways our ways…As the heavens are higher than the earth so are His ways higher than our ways and His thoughts than our thoughts. One way of discovering God’s thoughts is by studying His Word because His perfect will is revealed in the Bible. Then when we are praying, God’s Holy Spirit within us will let Bible verses flow out of us like a mighty river. Why? Because He knows the will of God and knows which verses we need to plant in the earth, so there can be a harvest for the Lord (Romans 8:27). Furthermore, Jesus said out of our bellies shall flow rivers of Living water. What does that mean? The Word of God is described as water (Ephesians 5:26); therefore, as we begin to pray the Word, the Holy Spirit will reveal God’s plan for different situations. Then we can go ahead and walk in His will because the Living water is flowing from us, and this parched world needs this Living water (John 7:38). As a child of God, there is no way you can grow without studying your Bible. That is how you will learn God’s will and help to usher in His will on through prayer and by faith.
