 After reading Psalm 18:4-7, 16-19, we should have learned that God hears us when we cry and comes fiercely to scatter our enemies.
Even if death is lingering at our door, God will hear us when we call out to Him. Even if destruction is sweeping over us like floods and it seems as if we are dying, if we cry out to God during those times He will crack the sky to rescue us! Our God will release thunderous sounds from heaven to help us. He will also shoot His arrows and scatter our enemies. Not only that, God will flash great bolts of lightning to confuse our enemies. Even the bottom of the earth is affected by God’s power! Saints, our loving Father will reach down from heaven to rescue us. Yes, He will even draw us out of deep waters. Verses 17-19 reads, "He rescued me from my powerful enemies from those who hated me and were too strong for me. They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the Lord supported me. He led me to a place of safety; he rescued me because he delights in me." Praise the Lord! We serve a mighty God who fights for us. Praise Him and rise up in confidence, knowing our Father will take care of us! |
