This is a new year and a new day for us. God is calling us to leave the old things behind in order to arrive at that “land” He has shown us.
In Genesis 12:1 (NKJV), God told Abram to get out of his country, from his family, and from his father’s house, so Abram could enter the land God would show him. Verse 2-3 reads, “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Plain and simple, God wants to accomplish great things through you. However, He will require you to leave some familiar people, places, and things behind. This will be difficult for some of you, but you need to obey God. Let go. Sometimes those same people, including your relatives, are holding you back from becoming who God has called you to be. After you obey God, He promises to bless you. Then He says He will bless those who bless you. On the other hand, God promises to curse those who open their mouths to speak curses against you. Finally, He promises to bless your family because of Abram. Therefore, rejoice, for God loves you and has amazing blessings for you. Prayer: Father, show us where we need to go, and give us the strength to walk in total obedience in the name of Jesus. We bind up the spirit of fear and disobediences right now! We pray for clearer visions to manifest within us. Open our ears, Lord, so we can hear Your voice and follow You in the name of Jesus! |
