God knows you will not let Him down The devil roams the earth to stir up problems. His goal is to torment people by controlling their minds, wills, and emotions in order to kill them.
In Job 1:8, the Lord asked Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” I am amazed that God is the one who brought up Job to Satan. In reading that, I perceive that God was truly proud of Job and was praising the blameless lifestyle of His dedicated child. As a result, Satan became infuriated by God’s admiration of Job, so he replied in verses 9-11, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” God knew Job and believed in him, so He said to the enemy, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger" (verse 12). Are you facing oppositions in your life even though you are serving God with a pure heart? Could it be that you have impressed God like Job and now the Lord is allowing the enemy to test you, because God knows you will not let Him down? Many people walk away from God when they encounter overwhelming situations that just won’t go away (Matthew 13:21). However, you have been enduring those painful situations, refusing to lose hope in God. And guess what, God is proud of you and will reward you exceedingly and abundantly above all you could ever ask or imagine. Previous post |
