“he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6).
The plans God has for us are good. Think about the loving parents you know, don't they always strive to make good plans for their children?
These parents don't sit back plotting how to destroy their own children.
Now if these affectionate, earthly parents know how to make suitable plans for their children, wouldn't God's plans for us be even greater.
Jeremiah 29:11 reads, “For I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
This means you're not an accident. God formed you with a plan (Psalm 139). He is not out to get you or yearns to devastate your life. God’s desire is for you to have hope in Jesus and to expect for Him to work things out in your life, so your future will shine like the stars.
Philippians 1:6 tells us that “he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” If things are not functioning in your life like the Bible promises they should, just continue to believe by faith that God is still working things out for your good. The Word of God also reminds us that all things will work out for the good of those who love God and have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).
So the next time you start telling yourself God is against you and will not answer your prayers that are according to His will for you, meditate on the above Scriptures.
Think about the struggles in your life, the ones that cause you to look to heaven and ask God why and when. Yes, those problems that cause your heart to ache. Place then at the feet of the cross, knowing that in God's perfect time all of them will work out for your good.
Do not despise your small beginnings
