Go through your fiery trial![]() Silver and gold are placed in the fire in order for all impurities to be eliminated. As children of the Most High God (El Elyon), we will go through the fire. Why? So all the ‘spiritual diseases’ that have infected us can be purged. Do you remember the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego? They refused to bow down to an image of gold, so these three Hebrew boys were placed in a fiery furnace. King Nebuchadnezzar even ordered the furnace to be heated seven times hotter than usual (Daniel 3:19). The furnace was so hot that the soldiers who placed them inside were killed by the flames. However, the three boys survived because there was a fourth man (Jesus) in the fire with them (verse 25). In the end, they were removed from the fire, the King honored the Most High God, and promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Go through that fire in your life. Yes it hurts. Yes you feel like you are about to die, but you will not die but live to declare the works of the Lord. Isaiah 43:2 tells us God will be with us even through the fire and we will not be burned. That trial will cause you to glow in the spirit but you will not be burned! 1 Peter 1:6-7 also encourages us to rejoice while in misery because the genuineness of our faith is being proven. The greatest virtue you possess is your faith. And like gold, your faith must go through the fire so it can be pure and true. Is not faith the substance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1)? Does not faith come by hearing from the Word of God (Romans 10:17)? So, when we are going through the trials of this life, understand that the words of the Lord are pure (Psalm 12:6). Therefore, He needs clean vessels to become pregnant with the Word and to deliver the Word in season. Do not fight the process by jumping out of the fire. Go through it and come out with faith of gold because without faith you cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6). |
