Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days (Ecclesiastes 11:1).
Search within yourself right and ponder about the many ways you can show generosity to others. You may not have a bag full of money to donate, but God did bestowed talents and gifts to you. Take the time to find out what is within you (what you possess) and sharpen those skills by utilizing them to bless others. Cast all of your abilities upon the waters, and God will reward you in the end, for He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Symbolism of bread and water The water could symbolize the world (or just your community), and bread could represent seeds or your skills. Now, visualize yourself standing by the seashore with your bread in your hand. Do not be tempted to jam the bread in your mouth, satisfying just yourself. Also, do not assume what you have to offer is insignificant because then you will bury your gift in fear instead of releasing it (Matthew 25:24). God wants you to release your bread and trust Him to return blessings back to you. “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (Luke 6:38, NIV).
