Forget the past and move on

Picture

The Holy Spirit wants us to forget the past. Forget the failures, forget the pain, forget the guilt, forget the regrets, and all the dark days.

God has already pruned away those things. Listen, when a branch is cut off, it is gone forever! It doesn't grow another branch. Also, did you know that a tree seals its wounds? If you prune a tree properly, a callus pops up like a donut to cover the cut! Then a chemical in the tree sections off the tree's wound to stop further decaying of the tree.

Isn't God awesome! He's calling for us to leave the past behind, to allow the pruning process, to accept healing, and to not be ashamed of our "callus." Why? Because that callus is a sign of healing. That situation is a testimony of how God delivered you! We all have scars.

We've all fallen short of God's grace.
If you're reading this, God says to FORGET your past, including those "good days...awesome blessings." He has more for you. BELIEVE THAT IN YOUR SOUL AND SPIRIT. He has better blessings for you!

Isaiah 43:18-20 (NLT) reads,
18 “But forget all that--
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
19 For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
20 The wild animals in the fields will thank me,
the jackals and owls, too,
for giving them water in the desert.
Yes, I will make rivers in the dry wasteland
so my chosen people can be refreshed"
