![]() Have you ever done all you could and thought things would have turned out great for you, but they didn't? How did your heart feel? Didn't you just want to quit, just give up on dreams and people? Did you cry? Did you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, misunderstood, lonely, betrayed, confused, lost, and afraid? Here is some good news for you. You are not alone. All of us have felt that way. And guess what, the woman in Luke 8:43-48 felt the same way as well. The Bible says she had an issue of blood for twelve years and had spent all her money on doctors who could not heal her. Now, instead of wallowing in her blood (literally), she exercised her faith. She obviously heard that Jesus was in town, so she went out to meet Him. This sick lady came up behind Him, and touched the hem of His garment. She said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well” (Matthew 9:20-22). Saints of God, we have to talk to ourselves sometimes. We were meant to speak. God told Ezekiel to speak to the dry bones, remember? Didn't the Bible also tell us to speak those things that are not as though they were? Doesn't the Word also say death and life are in the power of our tongue? We must speak LIFE (God's Word; Jesus) to ourselves! After making a decision to activate her faith, and to go to Jesus, this woman received her healing immediately. Then Jesus challenged her to speak again by acknowledging what she had done. And in return, her Healer spoke lovingly to her by saying, “Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.” The Holy Spirit is speaking that to us now. He is saying, “Daughter (son), be of good comfort. Don't worry. Believe in me. Have faith because your faith in Me will make you whole. Then you will be able to live in peace.” Previous post I had many reasons to quit |
