Don't let life trample you Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh” (2 Corinthians 4:9-11 KJV).
Christians, there are times when you will feel like the walls are closing in on you. You will even feel like the sky is about to plunge on your head. Your heart rate will increase, punching at your chest, and you will feel like terror is choking you. Then a voice within your mind will attempt to persuade you to reject God. That deceptive voice will show you all the wrongs in your life, and whisper in your ears that God has lied to you. That irritating voice will remind you that your bank account is negative. It will tell you your wife is like a continual dripping on a rainy day, and your children are as rebellious as a wild fire. Yes, that accusatory voice will even emphasize the health issues you are facing. Nevertheless, no matter what it is you are facing, no matter how frustrating your life may seem right now, just remember God is with you. You have to ignore all the problems surrounding you and command your spirit and soul to believe the Word of God. This takes strength and maturity, but you can do it. The reason you have to reject that voice is because the moment you agree with it, you will fall into despair. This voice always disrespects God’s Word, which is the same as offending God, so you must fight spiritually to conquer it. One way you can defeat that voice is by wearing your full spiritual armor. The moment you start to feel discouraged check to see if your armor is on correctly. Here are the parts of the armor (Ephesians 6:14-18)
