Do not despise your small beginnings

Picture
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand” (Zechariah 4:10).

Man or woman of God, do not detest small beginnings. Lift up your eyes to heaven and watch Jehovah-Jireh take your small situation and transform it into something larger than you ever expected.

In the Bible, David used one stone and struck Goliath (the giant) on his forehead, defeating him (1 Samuel 17: 48-50).

Also, do you remember the widow with the little oil? She went to Elisha, the prophet, crying about not having anything but a pot of oil. In the end, that little amount of oil blessed her life.

Prayer: Father God, please help us to be grateful for everything we have, even if those things seem insignificant. Forgive us God for not realizing that you tend to take the small, “insignificant”, things and use them mightily to confound the wise and to change the world in the name of Jesus. Go forward in the strength of El Shaddai!
