![]() Stop worrying about what your enemies are saying. Even if they are calling you everything but a child of God, ignore them. They might even threaten you until you feel like you are suffering, but shift your focus. Are your enemies mightier than God? Are your enemies above you or beneath you? Is God unable to save you from people who hate you? Is there anything too hard for God? Listen to the words of King David: 1 Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; 2 hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught 3 because of what my enemy is saying, because of the threats of the wicked; for they bring down suffering on me and assail me in their anger (Psalm 55:1-3). Finally, after complaining about how tough life was, David settled himself by saying: Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. 23 But you, God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of decay; the bloodthirsty and deceitful will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you (Psalm 55-22-23). Previous post Believe that God will answer your prayers |
