![]() This morning one of my students gave me a copy of Psalm 118, and that just able made my day! There were many verses in that Psalm that caught my attention. However, I will focus on verse 5. That passage states, “I called upon the Lord in distress: The Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.” From that verse, I learned that we should pray to God when we are happy or sorrowful. We must also believe that He will respond to our prayers and will put us in a spacious place. Jeremiah 33:3 connects perfectly with Psalm 118:5. In that passage, God says, “Call on me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” From that verse, I learned that if we cry out to God, He will listen. Then He will explain mysterious things to us. In addition, Psalm 91:15 reads, “He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.” Similarly, Psalm 50:15 states, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor me.” Saints, we must call out to God daily. However, there will come a day when you will face an emergency, and you will need to know how to connect with your Heavenly Father. Stop using those “Patty Cake” prayers and learn how to speak the Word of God with authority in order for you to break out of your problems. Previous post We are always victorious in Jesus Christ |
