If you do not have the budget this year to purchase all the Christmas gifts you desired, do not worry.
Christmas is not about gifts. You have heard that before, right? I know, but it is true. Plus, we are not better than our Savior who was born in a manger with reeking animals.
Nevertheless, I speak this over your life now. You will never lack any good thing. Psalm 34:10 states, “The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”
Keep on seeking the Lord and He will provide all that you need. And trust me, He will bless you exceedingly and abundantly above all you could ever ask or think. Then you will be able to purchase the things you need. Then you will be able to pay your bills. Then you will be able to pursue the calling on your life. Then you will be able to invest in your children. Then you will be able to bless your church and others.
And for those of you who have the money but you have other issues, I speak blessings into your life as well. I speak healing to your heart, mind, and soul. I pray God will strengthen you and your family. I also pray His peace will be like a shawl around you.
Psalm 34: 8 says we must taste and see that the Lord is good, and that we are blessed when we take refuge in Him.
By this time next year, your situation will be completely different. God will open the doors that are according to His will for you, and He will shut those doors that lead to destruction.
Make up your mind to taste and see that the Lord is good. How do you do that? You accomplish this by spending time with Him.
Allow Him to change your mind and to show you who He really is. Ask Him for an appetite for His Word. Practice worshiping Him in your house. Become intimate with Him, so that the next time the enemy attempts to attack your finances like he did Job, you will not curse God but will rest in the assurance that He shall supply all of your needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus.
Do not become distracted by Christmas. Do you see how commercialized it is? If the world is doing something, be careful how you participate. We live in this world, but we operate by God’s Kingdom. Yes, we can celebrate the birth of Jesus. But I think the best way to celebrate His life is by receiving His salvation. That was the whole point of His birth, death, and resurrection. But no, the church is caught up in the lights and trees. Let us stay focused. Christ is coming sooner than we think, and He won’t slide down a chimney either.
