Behold I do a new thing: Don't you perceive it?

Perhaps the new things of God
Are not new at all.
Perhaps they have been there all along,
But our eyes are closed
And cannot see the world of blessings
He has already set before us.

That is why the Bible says, "Lift up your eyes to the hills" (Psalm 121). Then Isaiah 40:26 states, "Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens."

After we go up higher in the Lord, gazing fervently upon His truth, we will see the "new" blessings unfolding before our eyes. The questions is: Are the blessings really new? Could it be that the blessings are already there waiting for our spiritual eyes to open to behold them? Remember, faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Just because we cannot "see" does not mean the "evidence" are nonexistent.

I pray the Lord will open our eyes like He did Hagar's. Genesis 21:19 tells us that "God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink." Do you know what is interesting? Right before Hagar's eyes were opened, she actually thought she and her son were about to die from hunger and exhaustion.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, You are mighty. We love You. Open our eyes right now as we are in the midst of a situation that seems brutal and hopeless. Open our eyes now in the name of Jesus. Cause us to see the open doors that are already before our eyes. Then give us the boldness to claim our blessings. Amen.

Meditate on Isaiah 43:18-21 and allow Jehovah to open your eyes to His riches.

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. 20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. 21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
