You are a child of the King; therefore, it is your duty to always behave like royalty. I say this for myself first.
No matter how disrespectful someone behaves toward you, your response must be that of decency. This does not mean you let people trample all over you, but you should be able to correct them without contaminating your witness as a believer.
In Luke 6:43-44, Jesus says, “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit."
Do not allow the enemy to use people to tempt you to act out of the character of Christ and produce bad fruit. Mind you, you can correct those who oppose you with the Word, but do not grieve the Holy Spirit in any way.
Do not roll your neck, cut your eyes, throw plates, swear, think evil thoughts, curse God, among other things. Why? Because those things expose the fact that you are a bad tree, bearing bad fruit.
Live right. Declare the Word of God with conviction like the "priest" you are, like the gem you are, like the prophet or prophetess you are, or like the man or woman of God you are.
Prayer: Dear God, forgive me for behaving like a rebel instead of a Christian. Wash me in the Blood of Jesus. I surrender my life to Your will. Let the fruit of the Spirit manifest in my life. Help me to behave like the “priest” I am because of Jesus Christ. I bind up every evil root that is within me. I will stand on the Word of Truth in the name of Jesus.
