Are you still cursing people out?

Before we received salvation, some of us were either overly timid or excessively boisterous. We either cried at the slightest insults or flashed livid fingers before any battle.

Maybe you drooled over impressing people or spewed expletives at anyone who rubbed you the wrong way.

All of us most likely lacked balance in our personalities until the Lord showed us the righteous path to travel.

Now that we are walking in the image of Christ, daily we are to behave like Him.

Behaving like Jesus

How can we behave like Jesus, the Son, who has all the fullness of the Deity (God) within Himself? (Colossians 2:9) How can we imitate Jesus, who is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and who upholds the universe by the word of his power?  (Hebrews 1:3)

We emulate Him by praying and accepting that “God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us” (Romans 5:5). God is Love. And since God already poured His love inside of us, guess what, it is our “new” nature to behave like the Father and the Son.

Prayer

Merciful God, our Father, cleanse me from all unrighteousness, and forgive me of my sins. Help me to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit. Teach me how to be patient, kind, content, humble, peaceful, and loving in the name of Jesus. I tend to get so nasty in my attitude, disrespecting others without a second thought. Wash me. I want to be an ambassador of Christ. Amen.
