Jehovah-Rapha is your healer. Lift your hands and surrender everything to Christ. Bow your knees if that is better for you. Close your eyes, or look up to the sky if you are outside. Find the right prayer position and take a few minutes now to pray.
Prayer: Dear God, you are my healer. Your Word says I must walk by faith and not by sight. Father, forgive me for trying to serve you in the flesh and not in the spirit. Lord, your word says in Psalm 107 that you sent your word and healed them. Isaiah 53 tells me that your wounds have healed me. Father, Jeremiah 17:14 reminds me that once you heal me I will be healed. Lord, I believe your word and I accept your healing. Thank you for healing my mind, soul, body, and spirit. Thank you for the peace that is running through me like a river. Thank you for the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, self-control, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and kindness) that is operating in me. God, you are not a God who lies, so I believe your word in the name of Jesus! I am whole.
Meditate on these Biblical passages
Now that we have established that God is our refuge and strength, we can hit the pause button and wait on him. Yes, we are trembling. Yes, our minds and hearts are racing. Yes, we want to give up. Yes, our resources are limited. Yes, it feels like we are all alone. Yes, some of the details surrounding our circumstance are unfair. Yes, we’ve messed up, but be still. We do not have to rescue ourselves. That is the job of our Lord.
Wait on him. I know we have doubts about his faithfulness to deliver us, but wait anyway. Waiting is not a negative thing. The Bible says in Isaiah 40:31, “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
God knows those situations are sapping our power, but he is going to renew our strength. He will give us victory over those painful, overwhelming, burdensome issues by placing us high in the sky like an eagle. Then we will have enough strength to run and sashay into his next divine mission for our lives.
Prayer: Father God, the creator of everything and everyone, I bless your name. You are powerful. You are loving. You see my situation and is using the good and the bad events to transform me into the image of Christ. Forgive me for not trusting in you. Forgive me for idolizing my problems instead of dropping them on the altar. Cleanse my soul, Lord. Strengthen me with your joy. Help me to keep my mind on Christ so peace will abide in me. I surrender my life to you, Jesus, and I know you will work everything out for my good. I bind up the spirit of bitterness, depression, rejection, anger, frustration, impatience, pride, poverty, sickness, divorce, rebellion, and deception. I also rebuke every immoral thought in the name of Jesus! I thank you Holy Spirit for maturing the fruit of the Spirit in me: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in my life. Amen.
