LORD, send Your angels to fulfill every promise from Genesis to Revelation in the mighty name of Jesus Christ
This morning I learned about a Jewish prayer that confirms the message I released about about recovery. This prayer is called Birkat Hagomel (pronounced beer-KHAT hah-GOH-mel) or “benching gomel.”
People, after recovering from a serious illness, usually recite this prayer of gratitude. They also pray this prayer upon finishing a perilous journey.
According to Jewish tradition, there are four types of people who must give God thanks publicly.
Essentially, anybody can humble his or herself and pray this prayer. For example, a new mother can express her gratitude after delivery or a married couple can pray it after God restores their marriage.
Here is the prayer (from MJL):
Blessed are You, Lord our God, ruler of the world, who rewards the undeserving with goodness, and who has rewarded me with goodness.
After the recitation of this blessing, the congregation responds:
May he who rewarded you with all goodness reward you with all goodness for ever.
I love this prayer and feel blessed to have encountered it on 5.27.2021.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?
Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind!
And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
You are good and do good; teach me your statutes.
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
1 Timothy 4:4
For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.
I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.
And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.
Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,
And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
1 Peter 2:3
If indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.
For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.
For the director of music. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” Of David. A miktam. bWhen Saul had sent men to watch David’s house in order to kill him.
1Deliver me from my enemies, O God;
be my fortress against those who are attacking me.
2Deliver me from evildoers
and save me from those who are after my blood.
3See how they lie in wait for me!
Fierce men conspire against me
for no offense or sin of mine, Lord.
4I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me.
Arise to help me; look on my plight!
5You, Lord God Almighty,
you who are the God of Israel,
rouse yourself to punish all the nations;
show no mercy to wicked traitors. c
6They return at evening,
snarling like dogs,
and prowl about the city.
7See what they spew from their mouths--
the words from their lips are sharp as swords,
and they think, “Who can hear us?”
8But you laugh at them, Lord;
you scoff at all those nations.
9You are my strength, I watch for you;
you, God, are my fortress,
10my God on whom I can rely.
God will go before me
and will let me gloat over those who slander me.
11But do not kill them, Lord our shield, d
or my people will forget.
In your might uproot them
and bring them down.
12For the sins of their mouths,
for the words of their lips,
let them be caught in their pride.
For the curses and lies they utter,
13consume them in your wrath,
consume them till they are no more.
Then it will be known to the ends of the earth
that God rules over Jacob.
14They return at evening,
snarling like dogs,
and prowl about the city.
15They wander about for food
and howl if not satisfied.
16But I will sing of your strength,
in the morning I will sing of your love;
for you are my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble.
17You are my strength, I sing praise to you;
you, God, are my fortress,
my God on whom I can rely.
LORD, send Your angels to help us.
We soak ourselves in the Blood of Jesus Christ.
We put on Your whole armor.
Grant us prophetic dreams tonight, she cause us to wake up to great news in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
I seal this prayer and us with the Blood of Jesus Christ and the seal of the Holy Spirit.
There will be no backlash or retaliation. We are VICTORIOUS because of You, Almighty God.
Reverse the diseases, LORD, to ease and healing 🙏🏽
