Then we can love others. Are you ready, Victorious One? Matthew 22:36 -40 is our portion. Click on the picture to purchase your interactive journal. The book is also available on Amazon. Joseph Blessing (Increase)
For those who have been betrayed by those who should have loved you, the story of Joseph is one you should read. In the Bible, Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery. You see, before this vicious act of disloyalty, Joseph dreamt he would be above his brothers. In Genesis 37:5-9, the Bible states: 5Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. 6He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had: 7We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.” Right before that, the Bible explains that Jacob loved Joseph more than the other children, and he made Joseph an ornate robe (verse 3). Thus, his brothers hated him and spoke unkindly to Joseph. Because of their envy and jealousy, Joseph’s older brothers sold him into slavery, but years later they actually bowed before Joseph in Egypt. You see, there was a famine in the land, and Jacob and his family needed food. When he sent his sons to Egypt to buy food, they had no idea they would later discover that Joseph was second in command in Egypt. Why was Joseph thriving in every circumstance? Because God was with him, which means he was blessed and highly favored by God! Genesis 39:2-6 declares: The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. 4 So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then in Genesis 39:21-23, the Bile reads: 21 But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden. 22 Before long, the warden put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners and over everything that happened in the prison. 23 The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed. Finally, in Genesis 40, Pharaoh inaugurated Joseph as second in command in Egypt. 40 You will be in charge of my court, and all my people will take orders from you. Only I, sitting on my throne, will have a rank higher than yours. Clearly, the LORD was speaking to Joseph in those earlier dreams because they were fulfilled. The brothers did eventually bow before Joseph in Genesis 42:5-7. When you finish reading this story, you learn that Joseph forgave and blessed his brothers and his entire family during the famine. In Hebrew, the name Joseph means “Increaser and May He Add”. Victorious Ones, the same way God blessed Joseph, He is blessing us. God is increasing each of us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Right now, I decree and declare these verses over us, and they will be fulfilled at superluminal speed! Matthew 6:33 is our birthright in Jesus’ name! “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Ephesians 3:20-21 is our manifested portion to infinity. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…” The meaning of the name Joseph is similar to the meaning of AUGUST. August means “exalted, to increase, great, and magnificent”. Father God, we love You. LORD, please forgive us of every sin. Forgive us for lying, stealing, betraying, violence, perversion, unforgiveness, envy, jealousy, rebellion, stubbornness, disobedience, and all other sins. Wash us with the Blood of Jesus Christ. Fill us up with the Holy Spirit. We repent and turn one trillion percent back to You in full surrender, ABBA. LORD, at Your Throne of Grace and Mercy, I make these “Joseph-August” declarations in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I decree and declare that our faith, love, peace, and joy increase now to overflow. I decree and declare that our strength, courage, and health increase now to overflow. I decree and declare that our spouses’ love for the LORD increase now to overflow. I decree and declare that the love in our marriages increases now to overflow. I decree and declare that our children’s love for the LORD increase now to overflow. I decree and declare that our finances increase now to overflow. I decree and declare that our ministries increase now to overflow. I decree and declare that the numbers of saved and delivered souls increase now to overflow. I decree and declare that sales in our businesses increase now to overflow. LORD, elevate us now on repeat in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Send Your angels to assist us, ABBA. I seal this prayer, our families, our possessions, our accounts, our past, present, and future with the Blood of Jesus Christ and the seal of the Holy Spirit. Amen. |
